First Line Defense prophylaxis against Coronavirus

First Line Defense:  PREVENTIVE MEASURE against COVID19 or any other Viral Infection. (Based on authentic and highly sacred Tibetan Medical Text)

The first line defense mechanism against SARSCOV and Covid19 is taken out in accordance with the invaluable instructions given in our classical medical text which deals with such dreadful Epidemic Diseases as Covid19. However, this is not exclusively intended against this Covid19, it holds good against any form of Epidemic diseases or infectious conditions like Viral Flu too. Nor is this any kind of official proclamation brought out for public notice. This is simply my personal endeavor to help as many people as possible in their first line defense against such kind of infections of epidemic and pandemic proportion( for their personal and family use only). 

1. RIMSUNG RILBU: A pill made of 9 antimicrobial/antiviral herbs wrapped inside the black cloth. USAGE: Wear one or two pills stringed to holy thread on your neck prominently visible outside (like a necklace). You need to inhale this black pill several times a day when outside at some vulnerable places like shopping, medicals, grocery shop etc, or coping with the family members with flu-like symptoms.  Make sure the clothed-Pill is not smeared with your sweats in the chest thus reducing its effect.  It is not necessary to wear or inhale when you are at home with no suspicious flu symptoms.  Remember to put on fresh pill after a fortnight or so depending upon the usage. Used pill can be powdered and burn it with the incense for air purification & as disinfectant smoke.

2. TRUL-THANG (Magic decoction). Highly indicated against following medical conditions:

a. Drink it one or two times( morning and evening) a day when you have  Chronic, Allergic cold and cough, bronchitis, Wheezing and Asthma, or any other chronic Lung weaknesses.

b. Two times a day when you show some minor symptoms of common flu type with minimal rise in body temperature, cough with throat irritation/Body Pain. Take it for minimum 5 days to maximum 7 days under this condition. While taking the decoction, it always helps to keep the body warm.

c. Drink one or two times a day just to prevent getting any cold, cough and throat infection.

HOW TO TAKE: Take one herbal T-bag and dip it inside a glass of boiled hot water (250ml approx) till it becomes lukewarm. You can also stir it to bring out the decoction better. You can even boil it in 250 ml of water till it settles down to almost 200 ml of water. Cool it down and drink it lukewarm.

3. NOR-DUN-THANG: This is often taken in place of Trul-thang when the former is not available. Take one T-spoon of this decoction powder and boil it in 1 and ½ glass of water till it comes down to almost 1 glass post boiling. Filter it and drink lukewarm two times a day: Between 10 to 11AM and evening 3 to 5 PM for about one week only.  While taking the decoction, it always helps to keep the body warm.

4. KHYUNG-5 (Garuda-5):  Dose: Adult: 4 to 5 pills, Child below 10, 2 to 3 pills. Duration: 5 days. 

When you observe slightly stronger symptoms with sore throat, ear and eye pain/ irritation, muscle/ body pain, or stomach/Intestinal pain, then it is the time to take Khyung-5.  One can simply swallow 4 or 5 small shiny black pills morning before breakfast and after dinner with one cup of boiled warm water. In case of strong cough/throat infection, you can take these tiny pills along with Trul-thang decoction. Do not take this pill in an empty stomach.

5. NYENTHANG-15: This decoction is a stronger version of Trul-thang. This should be taken when you have some measure of symptoms of any kind of viral fever or when you are highly suspected or confirmed positive with or without symptoms. Take at least two or three times a day depending upon the severity of the infection.

6. PANGYEN-15: Dosage 3 pills for adult, 2 pills for child below 10. Indications: This pill can be used only when you have allergic cough, throat pain/ irritation, cough with wheezing and breathing problem.

Duration: 7 to 10 days only for two times a day morning ½ hr before breakfast and ½ hr after dinner.  You can add Khyung-5 (swallow) along with Pangyen-15(powdered) for stronger effect.

7. TASI MARPO: Dosage: 1 pill only. Duration: 1 week to 10 days maximum. 

When you have active symptoms of strong flu or confirmed Covid19 infection with rise in fever, severe body pain, throat pain with cough etc, it is time to take this miracle pill. Take 1 red pill (powdered) two times a day ½ hr after lunch and ½ hr after dinner too with or without the decoction given above.  You can continue to take the decoction along with Khyung-5 in the morning ½ hr before breakfast. Do not take this pill in an empty stomach.  (TASI is tried and tested for centuries against many severe forms of infectious and epidemic diseases in active form).

8. TSANG-LHA: Dosage: 1 pill. Duration: as long as you need.

Tsang-lha should be taken (powdered form) ½ hr after dinner or before going to bed  This is mainly to bring down the anxiety, mental agitation, and severe upper back pain with sleeping problem also. This also helps infection to stabilize.  It can be also chewed under the tongue in any time of the day as an emergency measure during acute tension/stress build-up.

9. DUBTHOB-RILKAR (brand name: Men-sum): This can be in the white pill form (Drub-ril) or encased in a sachet (Men-sum).

Dosage: 1 pill or 1 Sachet (children below 10 year: only half) can be taken every morning ½ hr before breakfast as long as possible. This pill is highly indicated for body’s immune boosting.

10. Dashel Duetzima: Take one pill early morning or ½ hr before breakfast with a cup of boiled warm water. Children below 10, take ½ pills only. This is also highly indicated for immune boosting and general wellbeing. Kindly note that you cannot take both Men-sum and Dadue together.  Any one of them is good enough along with other preventive medications as advised by the doctor.

DIETARY REGIMEN:

  • Eat healthy and balanced food to boost your immune system.
  • Go Green: include some assorted green salads etc. steam cooked vegetables in your diet.
  • Enjoy seasonal fruits (including dried fruits and seeds), fresh fruit juices etc.
  • Mix vegetable soup with garlic, black pepper with coriander leaves as part of the dinner is highly advised.
  • Non-Vegetarian people should try crushed bone soup (chicken/Mutton) with, garlic, black pepper and coriander leaves.
  • Tibetan roasted barley Tsampa as part of the breakfast.

How to make:  Put 5 to 8 spoon of Tsampa powder in a porcelain or wooden bowl into which add 1-T-spoon of ghee; 1 spoon of powdered cheese, some dried fruits and beaten seeds with boiled hot water as a medium of making it in the form of a warm paste. I rate this breakfast as 5 stars.

FOODS TO AVOID:

  • Artificial and Synthetic sweets or sweet delicacies.
  • Fatty milk, curd, ice cream especially during the course of infection.
  • Cold refrigerated aerated drinks like Cokes and Bulls etc.

LIFESTYLE TO FOLLOW

  • Try to be mentally and emotionally positive and confident of yourself.
  • Practice some Asanas, Pranayamas and simple mindfulness meditation.
  • Regular physical exercise and workouts are helpful.

LIFESTYLE TO AVOID:

  • Sleeping for long hours during the day time.
  • Sleeping directly under the strong fan and cooler.
  • Avoid crowded place, maintain physical distancing.
